STRONG – There will be a children’s summer soccer camp from August 5-12, held each day from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Strong Legion Field.

Auburn Rec football camp planned

AUBURN – Auburn Recreation Falcons football coach Brad Sloat announces that the Auburn Youth Football Camp will be held August 13-17 at Chestnut Street Field.

The nightly camp will run rain or shine. First through fourth grade will play from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the fifth to eighth grade from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.

Cost is $25 to residents and $40 to non-residents. You may register in person at the Hasty Memorial Armory office, online at www.auburnmaine.org, or by mail to: Auburn Parks & Recreation Department, 48 Pettengill Park, Auburn, Maine 04210.

All sessions will start with a 15-minute warm-up, followed by equal time devoted to offense and defense. All players should arrive 10 minutes before their appointed starting time and be picked up on time.

The only equipment needed is comfortable clothing, sneakers or cleats and a water bottle. This is not a contact camp. For more information, call 784-0191.
