AUBURN – Judy Wilder, Ph.D., has been named dean of academic affairs at Central Maine Community College, according to Dr. Scott E. Knapp, CMCC president. Wilder is responsible for providing leadership for all aspects of the college’s academic programs.

Wilder earned her baccalaureate degree in physical education from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, and her master’s degree from Washington State University. She earned her doctorate in higher education administration and sports management from the University of New Mexico. Wilder has also done post-doctoral study in mediation and conflict management at Woodbury College in Vermont.

Prior to joining CMCC, Wilder served as academic dean and professor of humanities at Hesser College in New Hampshire. She has also worked as the dean of institutional advancement and interim academic dean at Johnson State College in Vermont, and as interim associate dean of the College of Health Sciences for the School of Physical and Health Education at the University of Wyoming. She was a physical education instructor at Skidmore College in New York, and a teacher and coach at Bourne High School in Massachusetts.
