MELBOURNE, Fla. – Michael Francis Baumann, 77, of Melbourne, Fla., died July 11.

He was born May 16, 1930. He graduated from Bates College and received a master’s degree from the University of Maine. He and his family have resided in Florida since 1989.

He was active in counseling entrepreneurs in Brevard, Fla., and the Space Coast Condo Association of Brevard, Fla. His hobbies included golf, bowling and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Glen Gledhill Baumann; daughter, Mauri; son, Michael, and his wife, Robin; two sisters, Betty Buchanan of Auburn and Katherine Willette of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, George Baumann of Quincy, Mass.; and a sister, Mary Manfra of Medford, Mass.
