The Minot Historical Society heard Tineke Ouwinga of Bethel speak on “A Child’s View of Nazi Occupation in the Netherlands” at its July 10 meeting. She described the war years and some of the experiences the family went through during the German occupation. A question-and-answer session followed. The society will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the home of Paul and Frances Lodge, 839 West Minot Road, Minot. There will be a light lunch and a talk on the Rowe family history along with a tour of their flower gardens. Everyone is welcome.
