DURHAM – The wedding of Stacey Lynn Potvin and Corey Carlton Colburn was held at 2 p.m. on May 26 at the First Congregational Church in Durham.

Mrs. Colburn is the daughter of Larry Potvin and Sheila Ryerson, both of Auburn. Mr. Colburn is the son of Stanley and Jaynie Colburn of Brunswick.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with halter style top, and the central panel, train and bodice were covered with sparkling sequins and beads. Her veil was trimmed with diamond-like sequins and she carried a bouquet of white, lavender and purple flowers.

Kasi Colburn, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Deb Smith, fiancee of the bridegroom’s brother, and Jennifer Allen, niece of the bride. Emily Allen, 21-month-old niece of the bride, was flower girl. She was escorted down the aisle by her two brothers, Jordan and Gage, who were ring bearers.

Stanley Colburn, father of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Keith and Stanley “Chip” Colburn, brothers of the bridegroom, were groomsmen. The ushers were Corey Allen, nephew of the bride, and Ralph Fisco, friend of the couple and “special” friend of the bridegroom’s sister, Kasi.

A reception followed the ceremony at the AMVETS Hall in Yarmouth, after which the couple traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida.

The bride is a graduate of Edward Little High School and is currently finishing her studies at L-A College for a degree in early childhood education. She is employed at Burger King.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Brunswick High School and is currently employed at Burger King as an assistant manager.

The couple is residing in Lisbon Falls.
