SHELBURNE, Vt. (AP) -Rescue crews continued their search Sunday for a Stowe man who jumped off his boat Saturday and disappeared in Lake Champlain.

Arthur Brown, 48, got separated from the boat and was unable to get back on because of the windy conditions, Shelburne Police said.

He jumped off to retrieve an item that had fallen into the water.

Rescue crew from the U.S. Coast Guard, Shelburne, Charlotte and Colchester, helped searched Shelburne Bay Sunday, using a helicopter and Sonar boat.

By 4 p.m., they had not found Brown.

Brown was reported missing at around 4:20 p.m. Saturday. Rescue crews searched until dark on Saturday and are expected to resume their search Monday.
