Lewiston – Margaret L. Duncan, 98, of Montello Heights, 550 College St., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Montello Manor.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 24, 1908, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Lund Duncan.

She was educated in Lewiston schools, worked for Continental Mill as office manager and prior to her retirement in 1973, was employed as claims deputy at the Maine Employment Security Commission.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Maine State Employees Association, Androscoggin Chapter of Maine Retirees, past matron of Mt. Olivet Chapter 29 Order of Eastern Star, past noble grand fidelity, Rebekah Lodge and past district deputy of district 9.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
