Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked at 147 Oxford St. had a window shot out with a BB prior to 4 p.m. on Aug.6.

On Aug. 7 at 12:28 p.m. the store clerk was alerted to some kids spray painting graffiti on the back of the building. The suspects fled in a purple Hyundai Accent. The vehicle was located at 264 Lincoln St. and a 21-year-old suspect was brought in for questioning. He admits to tagging at least 20 locations throughout the city. However, he also claims that he only paints over existing graffiti. Several more suspects are being identified.

Shains of Maine at 30 Highland Spring Road was tagged with graffiti overnight Aug. 6-7.

A swimming pool at 14 Shank St. was punctured overnight Aug. 6-7.

McDonald’s at 1240 Lisbon St. was tagged with graffiti overnight Aug. 6-7.

Officers responded to 1 Locust St. on Aug. 7 at 10:37 p.m. for a report that some kids were spray painting a wall near Country Kitchen. The suspects were in a newer model black Jeep Cherokee with chrome rims. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Burglaries

An apartment at 110.5 Spring St. was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 6. Entry was gained through an unlocked window. An X-box was stolen.

An apartment at 21 Shawmut St. was burglarized prior to 5 p.m. on Aug. 6.

An apartment at 92 Wood St. was burglarized prior to noon on Aug. 3.

Sometime between Aug. 3 at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 6, an apartment at 9 Davis St. was burglarized. Entry was gained to the home via the rear slider. Money, DVDs, and jewelry were stolen.

An apartment at 44 Spring St. was burglarized on Aug. 7 prior to 4:35 p.m. The resident arrived home to find her doors open and her dog outside.

Thefts

A black Mongoose trick bike with pegs was stolen from 225 Webster St. overnight Aug. 5-6.

A package containing an Olympus digital camera was stolen from the front porch of 165 Webster St. on Aug. 2 after 2 p.m.

On Aug. 6 at 6:52 p.m. a white male driving a maroon colored Chevy Lumina with out of state plates was seen exiting the ACME club after a stealing a Sharp flat screen television.

Public Indecency

On Aug. 7 at 7:40 a.m., a resident of 176 Blake St. witnessed a white male exposing himself and masturbating in his green Honda Civic. The registration was obtained and a suspect was located shortly thereafter. Upon interviewing him, he admitted that he was in fact guilty of the crime he was accused of.

Gross Sexual Assault Arrest

Raymond Rolls, 66, was arrested in Montgomery County, N.Y., and charged with burglary, unlawful sexual contact, unlawful sexual touching, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, and assault on Aug. 7.

A warrant was issued for his arrest based upon an incident that had occurred on Aug. 3 at 3 a.m. Rolls is alleged to have entered a neighbor’s apartment and attempted to forcibly rape a 78-year-old woman while armed with a knife. Rolls has an extensive history of similar behavior. Officers were able to convince family members to cooperate and talk Rolls into turning himself in after he had fled the state.

The department is looking for Phillip Witham, 32, he is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for assault and a probation hold.
