LEWISTON – Theresa M. Turgeon, 79, of Webber Avenue, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Waterville on April 23, 1928, the daughter of Emile and Mary (Cyr) Bouchard. She grew up and attended schools in Waterville and later moved to Lewiston.

She worked for more than 30 years at Bates Mill, where she retired.

She was a member of the First United Penecostal Church in Lewiston.

She loved to sew and was an avid bingo player. She also volunteered in the meal program at Bates College.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert H. Turgeon, whom she married on Feb. 19, 1955; her two sons and their wives, John and Tammy of Brewer and Robert and Mona of Tampa, Fla.; her grandson, Ian Turgeon, and his wife, Caroline, of Florida; her brothers and their wives, Phillip and Lillian Bouchard of California and Patrick and Sharon Bouchard of Arizona; her two special nieces, Tanya Sakowski and Bonnie Allen, both of Connecticut.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Royal, Leo, Arthur, Willard, Paul and Lucien Bouchard.
