SOUTH PARIS – Eino E. Kuvaja, 77, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Market Square Health Care Center, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Greenwood on June 19, 1930, the son of Peter and Esteri (Heikkinen) Kuvaja. He married the former Marie Birney on June 26, 1953.
He had worked as a farmer most all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially his grandchildren. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows of West Paris, Farm Bureau and AARP. He was a member of the Mission Congregational Church of West Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; his children, Susan Kimball, and husband, Wade, of Waterford, Sharon Morse, and husband, Stan, of Norway, Stanley Kuvaja of Greenwood, Steven Kuvaja, and wife, Becky, of Greenwood, Timothy Kuvaja, and wife, Kris, of Norway, Sandra O’Leary, and husband, Bryan, of Waterford, Mary Field, and husband, Wayne, of Greenwood and Fred Kuvaja of Geenwood; two sisters, Fannie Polvinen of Victorian Villa in Canton and Sylvia Heikkinen of Hebron; grandchildren, Doug, Heather, Kayla, Jaime, Becky, Chad, Joey, Jared, Josh, Jonathan, Sean, Ryan, Sarah, Ben, Kyle and Kelsea; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Austin, Lauren, Connor and Jayce.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Waino, Alpo and Wilko; and a sister, Helen Kuvaja.
