WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Juliette M. Violette, 80, formerly of Biddeford, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 6, at her retirement home in Winter Haven, Florida.
She was born July 31, 1927, in Ft. Kent, a daughter of John B. and Flavie Caron Gervais. She came to the Biddeford area as a young girl and was educated in Fort Kent and Scarborough schools.
On July 31, 1948, she married Alyre R. “Bob” Violette in St. Margaret’s Church in Old Orchard Beach.
She worked 20 years with the Pepperell Mfg. Co. in Biddeford, and 20 years at St. Patrick’s Church Rectory in Lewiston.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years of Winter Haven, Fla.; one son, Roger J. Violette, and his wife, Lucille, of Auburn; three daughters, Yvette Mercier, and husband, Richard, of Lewiston, Carol Ann Violette of Winter Haven, Fla., and Patricia Dube, and husband, Peter, of Greene; one brother, John Gervais of Fayetteville, N.C.; four sisters, Ida Nolin of Lewiston, Isabelle Daigle of St. Albans, Winnie Brown of Eagle Lake, and Annette Hilton of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
