JAY – An editing error in Thursday’s Franklin edition incorrectly described officer Mike Mejia’s actions during his encounter Wednesday with a speeding car on Route 133. Mejia spotted the car and recorded it traveling at 68 miles per hour. Mejia turned around to follow the car, but the car sped up and the officer saw it pass another vehicle as it headed toward Farmington. Mejia did not pursue the car. He alerted Farmington police that a speeding car was heading toward them and police there picked up the pursuit.
