JAY – Spray-painted graffiti has appeared on numerous street signs and other items in the Chisholm area within the last couple days, police say.

Jay police have developed a few leads while investigating the criminal mischief, Police Chief Larry White said Friday.

The number of patrols in the area will increase as the investigation continues, he said.

“The department takes this type of negative behavior very seriously and will prosecute any person charged within the full extent that the law allows,” he said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the graffiti to contact the Police Department.
