AUBURN – The New Auburn Senior Citizens will join the First Auburn Senior Citizens for the annual picnic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Hasty Memorial Armory.
Doughnuts and coffee will be served in the morning and hamburgers hot dogs, corn on the cob, potato salad, soda and ice cream will be served at noon. Cost is $4 and it is for members only.
A meeting was held Aug. 1 with President Virginia Levasseur presiding. August birthdays were noted and small gifts given.
A lobster shore dinner will be offered Wednesday, Sept. 19. Lobster and clams will cost $9; fried haddock or shrimp, $3; chicken fingers, $4; and lobster roll, $7. Tickets must be bought at the Sept. 5 meeting. It is for members only.
New members welcomed were Doris Therriault, Marcel Gagnon, Lorraine Gagnon, Marcella Bourgoin, Leola Bouthot, Norman Caron and Flo Bell.
A trip to Wildwood, N.J., is being offered from Sept. 3 to 7. Call Jean at 784-4264 for more information.
Pot of gold winners were Tony Arel, Virginia Levasseur, Fidele Nadeau and Lorraine Trembly.
The meeting adjourned, a light lunch was served and bingo was played. The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5. There is no open bingo for August.
