Raffle tickets

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary raffle tickets to win a Wallingford Equipment prize package (retail value $5,299) are on sale. Only 300 tickets will be sold and each ticket is $50.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Rotary’s Scholarship Endowment Fund. Every year the club strives to maintain a level of excellence by granting six $1,000 scholarships to deserving students throughout Androscoggin County.

For ticket information, contact Jen Hogan at 333-0091. Drawing will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary meeting at the Ramada Inn.

Seniors picnic

AUBURN – First Auburn Seniors will join with the New Auburn Seniors for the annual Tot Lot picnic to be held Aug. 15 at Hasty Armory in Pettengill Park. There will be games, food and bingo.

Winners at the regular First Auburn meeting on Aug. 1 were Maxine Sidelinger, Bea Everett, Dodi Juneau and Gabrielle Gorton.

Due to floor maintenance at the armory, the Wednesday, Sept. 5, meeting will be held at the American Legion Post on Washington Street.
