WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, OES, will welcome Worthy Grand Matron Rebecca S. Bibber when she conducts the official visitation Tuesday at the Masonic/Grange Hall on Centre Road. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by refreshments supplied by the officers.
At the July meeting to honor the past matron, past patron and honorary members, Worthy Matron Elizabeth Leighton and Worthy Patron Stanton Leighton were presented their 25-year pins by Associate Matron Cynthia Holbrook and Associate Patron Rodney Woodrum. Leighton presented a 25-year pin to Mary Miller, her mother.
Frank Wood, a 35-year member, and Miller were granted their life memberships, having reached age 80.
Woodrum requested Past Matrons Phyllis Hall and Yvonne Winslow be brought to the secretary’s desk. He presented them with certificates of appreciation from Judith Saucier, Maine State Walk America director, for their service during the last walk.
William H. Stretton, PGP of Maine, said he was happy to do some limited traveling after his illness. Stephanie Dupal, District 4 DDGM, brought the greetings of the worthy grand matron and worthy grand patron. She awarded the lobster and butterfly traveling emblem to Casco Chapter 160 of Freeport until their next meeting, when it will continue on its district journey.
