AUBURN – Six new board members have been named to the Central Maine Community College Education Foundation board of directors: Candace Sanborn, managing partner of Encompass Marketing and Design; Rick Malinowski, employee relations manager for Procter and Gamble; Dick Gleason, president of the Gleason Radio Group; Bruce Tisdale, president of Mountain Machine Works; Tom Galley, chief operating officer at Maine Machine Products; and Rick Vail, president of Mechanics Savings.

The CM Education Foundation is a community-based, nonprofit corporation that has as its sole mission “support for Central Maine Community College and its students.” The foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of community and business leaders.

The foundation board of directors also serves as the Executive Advisory Council, providing a forum for matters that have a broad impact on the college. Responsibilities of the council include reviewing proposals for major changes in policies, participating in the development of long-range plans and assisting with the interpretation of college needs to the general public.
