Craig Sawyer of Buckfield takes advantage of the heavy rain late Monday afternoon to wash his car. Sawyer was working at the Bates College construction project on College Street when work came to a stop due to the heavy rain. “I was already soaking wet so I decided to wash my car,” Sawyer said.
