LEWISTON – Eric Morin and Hannah Langlois earned singles titles as the Lewiston Recreation Department Summer Tennis Program came to a close with the “End of Summer” tournament. Results follow:

Boys: Preliminary Round: Matt Bouchard d. Tommy Hird, 8-3; James Aldrich d. Chris Belanger, 8-0. Quarterfinals: Eric Morin d. Alex Beaudoin, 8-5; Brian Wigant d. Matt Melanson, 8-4; Bryan Hall d. Bouchard, 8-3; Ben Chicoine d. Aldrich, 8-6. Semifinals: Morin d. Wigant, 8-4; Hall d. Chicoine, 8-1. Finals: Morin d. Hall, 8-5. In a completed singles match, Morin d. Chicoine, 8-5.

Girls: Langlois defeated Sara Lacroix 8-6 in the semifinals. Becca Belaire beat Morgan Lessard, 8-1, and Victoria Bunker, 8-4, to reach the finals. Langlois defeated Belaire 8-4 to claim the title.

Fall sign-ups set

LEWISTON – Registrations are due for the Lewiston Rec Adult Fall Tennis Program. There will be singles and doubles competition. The league is set to begin on August 27.
