Navy Reserve Constructionman Recruit Bradley J. Merrill, son of Sabrina Bouchard of Topsham, recently graduated from the equipment operator course.

During the 90-day course with Naval Construction Training Center Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Merrill learned basic operating techniques of common construction and automotive equipment and basic combat skills. Equipment operators receive additional training during homeport duty.

Merrill is a 2004 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and joined the Navy Reserve in March.
