BOSTON, Mass. – Thomas L. Polley, 58, of Newport, R.I., went to be with his Lord unexpectedly on May 23.

Tom was born in Bath on Feb. 13, 1949, son of Lester and Helen Polley. He grew up in Lisbon Falls, where he attended public schools and Lisbon Falls Baptist Church.

He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, visiting his children and distributing Bibles.

Tom is survived by his five children in Rhode Island, Dee, Mark, Wendy, Tammy and Tim; two sisters, Jan Polley of South Portland and Marge Dolan of Portsmouth, R.I.; and one brother, Bob Polley of Lisbon.
