WILTON – Police are investigating the theft of about $3,000 worth of copper from a vacant house at 45 Village View.

The theft was reported Tuesday and occurred within the past week, police Chief Dennis Brown said Wednesday.

Entry was gained by breaking a window at the back of the house, he said.
