South Paris – Edward L. Kilgore Sr., 60, of South Paris, died Aug. 14.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 29, 1946, to Gerald D. Kilgore Sr. and Muriel Payne Kilgore. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1966.

He worked at Wilner Wood Products and Paris Manufacturing Co. in South Paris until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, horse racing and his family and friends. Edward will be remembered for his “Big Kind Heart.”

He is survived by his son, Edward “Sonny” Kilgore Jr. and his companion, Ann Bosse, of Sabattus; daughter Kim Michelle Kilgore and her companion, Harley Barker, of Norway; two granddaughters, Natasha Kilgore and Cora Barker of Norway; six brothers, Gerald Kilgore Jr. of South Paris, Dennis Kilgore and wife, Jean, of Palm Bay, Fla., Peter Kilgore and wife, Sharon, of South Paris, Albert Kilgore and wife, Judy, of Nashua, N.H., Ronnie Kilgore of South Paris, and Barry Kilgore and wife, Tammy, of South Paris; two sisters, Sherry Estes of Oxford, and Penny Allen and husband, Charles, of South Paris. Edward also had many “special” nieces and nephews and a very large, loving group of friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.
