PORTLAND – Vanessa Torres & Touching Ground, a self-described “Portland-based 4-piece female original folk band with an old-time twist, political punch, some toe-tapping and lots of heart,” and award-winning singer/songwriter Adrianne will perform Monday, Aug. 20, at The North Star Music Café.

Torres has received acclaim for her two albums, “Vanessa Torres and Sacred (Abridged),” as well as numerous accolades for the band’s exhilarating live performances.

Adrianne is a Los Angeles-based artist who has shared the stage with Bonnie Raitt, Lori McKenna, Jeff Buckley and Peter Mulvey. Performing Songwriter magazine rated her debut album as one of its top 12 “Do It Yourself” recordings, describing Adrianne as “a ball of emotion, intensity and attitude.”

The show will begin at 7 p.m. There is a $5 cover.
