Lewiston – Helene Hope Spaulding, 79, of Lewiston, died Thursday, Aug., 16, unexpectedly.
She was born in Lewiston on April 2, 1928, to Arthur R. and Hazel (Clark) Spaulding. She attended local schools and worked at Cushman Shoe until 1963.
She enjoyed going to the ocean, long car rides and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her nieces, Elaine and husband, James, of Vermont, Sharon Hodgkin, Deborah True, Sandra Dube, Jane and husband, George Cote, all of Lewiston, Kim and Kevin Ogdon of Poland, and Karen and husband, James Henry, of Sabattus; great-nieces and nephews, Michael Carper of Vermont, Mark and wife, Michelle Carper, of Lisbon, David Hodgkin and companion, Vanga, of Florida, Jerry Poisson and wife, Angel, of Greene, and Amy True and companion, Adam, of Lewiston; and several other great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Jerry Hodgkin and Priscilla Roy; one brother, Arthur Spaulding Jr.; and one niece, Kathy Spaulding.
