Selectmen on Thursday chose this photo of flags lining the dam of the Androscoggin River as their favorite among 14 entries. The photo will be sent to the Maine Municipal Association to be used during their annual fall conference Oct. 3-4 at the Augusta Civic Center. Town Manager Jim Doar said he believes the beauty of Rumford should be represented. He thinks this is the first time the town has submitted a photo for the MMA conference. All the submitted photos of scenes around Rumford will be put on display in the Municipal Auditorium.
