PORTLAND – Harriet Glover, 77, died Monday, Aug. 20, at the Maine Medical Center, in Portland. She was a resident of East Andover.
Born in Weymouth, Mass., Oct. 10, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Douglass) Parkman. She attended Andover Schools.
She was a past member of the East Andover Community Club, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the bowling league. She also loved to play cards.
She was married in Rumford, Dec. 18, 1947, to Sylvanus A. Glover who survives, of East Andover. Other survivors include three daughters, Helen Glover and her companion, Gary Smith, of Brownville, and her children, Holly, Lynda and her son Korbyn, Andrew and his three children, Wendy Hansen and her husband, Wilbur (Bim), of Andover, and a daughter Heather, and her children, Danielle and Dakota, Gale Hill and her husband, Stan, of Turner, and children, Kade and Morgan; two sons, Butch Glover and his wife, Katie, of Andover, and children, Heather and Maureen, Jason Glover and his wife, Belinda, of Gilead, and children, Brianna and Calvin; two brothers, John Parkman of North Carolina, and David Parkman of Montana; and a sister, Jean Miner of Florida; six great-grandchildren; and her beloved cats, Pixie and Midgie.
She was predeceased by a son, Gary John Glover; and a sister, Lois O’Leary.
