Auburn – Janet A. Tinson, 86, of Auburn, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Clover Manor.

A lifelong resident of Auburn, she resided on Orchard Street for the past 50 years. She was born in Auburn, Oct. 24, 1920, the daughter of John and Lena (Stevens) Scruton, and had attended schools in Auburn.

She had worked as the office administrator at Carol E. Taylor Engineering. She was a life member of The Eastern Star and the High Street Congregational Church of Auburn.

Janet enjoyed reading, needlework, computer games and crafts.

She leaves her daughter, Brenda Tinson of Auburn.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Scruton Jr.
