Criminal mischief
A vehicle parked at 415 East Ave. had a window shot by a BB overnight Aug. 16-17.
A residence at 276 Lincoln St. had a window shot out by BBs prior to 6 p.m. on Aug. 17.
A vehicle parked at 93 Pierce St. had a window smashed out overnight Aug. 18-19.
A residence at 32 Rideout Ave. had a window shot by a BB overnight Aug. 18-19.
A vehicle parked near Friendly’s on Sabattus Street had a baseball thrown through the front windshield overnight Aug. 16-17.
Motor vehicle burglaries
A vehicle parked at 20 Tall Pines Drive was burglarized overnight Aug. 16-17. A duffel bag and an Apple laptop were stolen.
A city public works truck parked at 10 Raymond Ave. was burglarized overnight Aug. 18-19.
Burglaries
A residence at 14 Novella St. had items stolen from the basement sometime in the last month. Entry was gained through an unlocked bulkhead door.
A business at 37 Sabattus St. had the front door kicked in sometime between 10 p.m. Aug. 16, and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17. Several tools were stolen.
An apartment at 124 Pine St. was burglarized sometime prior to Aug. 16. The suspects were a pregnant female, an elderly female and a young male in a blue minivan.
An apartment at 3 Bartlett St. was burglarized on Aug. 18 prior to 9:13 p.m., several items were stolen; the place was ransacked.
Counterfeit bills
A white male wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and a black hat tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at 7-Eleven on Aug. 17. The clerk discovered the fake and the suspect fled on-foot to Union Street.
On Aug. 18 at 2:37 a.m. officers responded to the 7-Eleven for a report that a customer had been passed two counterfeit $100 bills by another customer who had requested change due to the fact that the store wouldn’t accept them. The suspect has been identified and detectives are investigating.
Operating under the influence arrests
Zakaria Mohamed, 28, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence on Aug. 17 at 7:18 p.m. at Pine and Shawmut streets following a routine traffic stop.
Christopher Brooks, 24, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, operating after suspension and endangering the welfare of a child on Aug. 18 at 2:44 a.m. on Canal Street. The vehicle was observed driving the wrong way on a one-way street at a high rate of speed. An officer stopped the vehicle and he observed a child in the back seat who wasn’t properly secured.
Charles St. Clair, 43, was arrested and charged with under the influence, driving to endanger, criminal speed and failing to stop for an officer on Aug. 18 at 4:46 p.m. on Cumberland Avenue. An officer witnessed the vehicle traveling 57 mph in a 25 mph zone. As the driver attempted to elude the officer, he struck a vehicle at an intersection.
Joseph Plouffe, 25, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence on Aug. 19 at 1:11 a.m. at Sabattus and Main streets following a routine traffic stop for not having a front plate.
Christopher Winslow, 23, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and operating after suspension on Aug. 20 at 12:22 a.m. at 5 Farwell St. The vehicle was stopped for having a tail light out.
