Auburn – John C. Ames Sr., 72, of South Paris, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
He was born June 20, 1935, the son of George F. and Jeannette (May) Ames.
He enjoyed fishing and just being in the out of doors. He had worked for C.B. Cummings and Son in Norway for many years.
He is survived by two children, son Andrew Ames and his wife, Donna, and their children, Philip and companion Kayla, Fred and companion Reena, Heather and companion Ty; daughter Betty Moore and husband Scot, and their children, Jay and his wife Ann, Philip, Susan and companion Jason, T.J. and wife Tara, Mike and his wife Jenn; eight grandchildren; sister Barbara Manchester; two brothers, Raymond and Gordon; and a very special companion that he loved very much, Donna F. Bedard. Also, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and four brothers, George Mulligan, Eddie, Maynard, and Franki; and three sisters, Shirly, Phyllis, and baby Elizabeth.
