JAY – The Jay High School Class of 1950 held its 57-year reunion on Aug. 17 at Lafleur’s Restaurant. A social hour was held, followed by a short class meeting during which a letter was read from William Ouellette of California.
After luncheon, the class ode was sung, accompanied by Adrian Legere on the guitar. He also played a number he composed himself on the guitar and harmonica simultaneously. Also providing entertainment were Priscillien and Elaine Henry, who performed tap dancing and Canadian clogging.
The door prize of a bouquet of flowers was won by Barbara McDonald. Wind chimes donated by Claire Castonguay were won by Therese McKenna. Two baskets containing homemade goodies and household items were donated by Therese McKenna and won by Elaine Henry and Armance Rich.
Attending were Eddie Legere, Priscillien and Elaine Henry, Robert and Armance Turmel Rich, Anita Blais Marchetti, Maurice Duguay, Aline Fournier, Adrian and Mary Lou Rheaume Legere, Romeo and Claire Castonguay, Gerard and Bertha Pomerleau, Maurice and Ann Ouellette, Normand and Barbara Babbie Ouellette, Richard and Therese Chicoine McKenna, Douglas and Barbara McDonald, Olive Dubord and Laurette Poulin.
