LEWISTON – The Farmers’ Market will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, in Kennedy Park near the corner of Bates and Pine streets.

There will be fresh vegetables, flowers and herbs, local produce, live music and family activities as well as information about global warming and eating local at the Maine Chapter Sierra Club booth.

There will also be baked goods, Maine specialty foods, cooking demonstrations, recipes and food samples, and information on health.
