WILTON – Voters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Academy Hill School to act on a tax increment financing district and a credit enhancement agreement for the proposed Comfort Inn.

The warrant calls for the town to vote on the district and gives selectmen the authority to negotiate the credit enhancement agreement.

The board agreed earlier this month to work on the agreement with Great Maine Hospitality, a limited liability company created by Lafrance Hospitality Co., and have the terms in place by Tuesday’s meeting.

The company has plans to build and operate an 84-unit Comfort Inn hotel on Routes 2 and 4. The company started site work this month.

The proposed agreement would offer an 80 percent TIF to Comfort Inn over eight years, diminishing 10 percent each year.
