LEWISTON – The Young People of the Lewiston Auburn Area will hold an annual meeting on Friday, Oct. 12, at the Franco American Heritage Center.
The evening’s theme will be a Medieval feast. Attendees will enter the center and await the arrival of the king and queen. Once they arrive, “subjects’ will be escorted to tables where a multiple-course dinner will be served.
There will be food, beverages, plates and cups, but no utensils. Entertainment will be provided by the king, queen, jesters, knights, minstrels and others.
YPLAA is looking for sponsors to help cover the costs associated with the feast:
Those giving $1,000 or more will be considered at the royalty level; $500 or more is the nobility level; while $250 or more is deemed the jester level.
Individuals or organizations interested in sponsoring the feast should call Jenny at the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce at 783-2249 or e-mail to [email protected]. The evening will include a presentation of YPLA awards to members who work, volunteer or live in Androscoggin County.
Also contact Jenny to reserve tickets for the evening. For more information on YPLAA, visit www.yplaa.com.
