PORTLAND – Beverly Hill Wilson, 70, wife of Harry W. Wilson of Mechanic Falls, passed away on Aug. 26, at Maine Medical Center due to complications from an extensive surgery. She had been ill for several months. Harry and Bev had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 19.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to laugh, joke and give advice, which was always right. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower gardens, spending time with and cooking for her grandchildren, and playing the piano. She loved watching the Patriots and her favorite soap opera. She also traveled extensively with her husband. She was a “mother” to many and was the matriarch of our family. She will never be replaced and will rest peacefully next to her beloved sons Peter and Scott.
She is survived by her husband, Harry; a brother Delmont Hill of Waltham, Mass.; a sister Penny and her husband Alan Pray of Mechanic Falls; and a sister Patsy and her husband Clyde Holt of Oxford. Also a son Ryan and his wife Karen Wilson of Auburn; daughter Tracey and her husband Michael Maberry of Mechanic Falls and daughter Kanchana Wilson of Mary Esther, Fla.; grandchildren include Ryan II and Brooke Wilson of Auburn, Michael and Matthew Maberry of Mechanic Falls and Rhiannon Wilson of Mary Esther, Fla.; and a great-granddaughter, Chloe Martin of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lovell Eugene and Madalyn Thurlow Hill; two brothers, Gordon and Edwin Hill; and two sons, Peter and Scott Wilson.
