Library’s summer program draws to end
PARIS – The Paris Public Library concluded its summer reading program on Aug. 15 with a visit from educator Jim Chandler, who helped the group explore the “Mysteries of Nature.”
The Children’s Room will celebrate “Farms, Fairs and Friends” in September. The theme will connect the library’s programs and activities for children during the month.
The exception will be the week of Sept. 19, when the Children’s Room will recognize “Talk like a Pirate Day.” Story time for preschoolers will continue at 10 a.m. Thursdays, when participants share stories and related crafts. The activity group will also occasionally feature special guests or games.
The weekly program for elementary school-aged children on Wednesday afternoons will begin again on Oct. 3.
