LISBON FALLS – Louis E. Berube, 72, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at his home with his family by his side, after a three-year struggle with COPD.

He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Lisbon, the son of the late Lanio Berube and the late Lillian Nadeau Berube Talon. He was educated in various Catholic schools, graduating in 1954 from St. Dom’s High School.

After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated from Auburn Maine School of Commerce in 1960. He established the Workshop Printing in 1964. He later expanded his business to his home and then added on LSEB Stamp Co.

He married the love of his life, Pearl I. Roberts on Nov. 9, 1963. He was a member of the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, where he served in many areas: sound system and cassette ministry, trustee, moderator, collector, building committee and camp ministries.

One of the blessings God gave him was the Pulmonary Rehab Group at Central Maine Medical Center, where he met some wonderful friends and learned to play the harmonica. His interests were geneology and eBay.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl of 42 years; three children, Sandra Berube Eaton, and her husband, Randy, of Pittston, James Berube, and his wife, Jeannette, of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Scott Berube, and his wife, Melody, of Florissant, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Tyler and Stephanie Eaton, Daniel, Amanda, Alexander and Isaac Berube, Jordan and Jacob Berube.

He was predeceased by his parents.

His family wishes to thank Dr. Neil Duval and staff; Pat Smith, rehab coordinator; the staff of CMMC M-1 Unit; Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice House and Michelle Hawkins, CNA, for their excellent care.
