SUMNER – Caelan Pelletier and Hunter Foss received their Bibles from the Rev. Nancy Miaoulis during a recent Sunday morning service at the Congregational Church of East Sumner. The boys are third-graders in local school districts.

The church will start the new year with a community ballgame and cookout in the church field at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.

On Sunday, Sept. 16, Miaoulis will be installed as the full-time pastor of the church. The service will start at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a dinner.
