Genealogy trip

RANGELEY – The Sandy River Valley Chapter, Maine Genealogy Society, will meet Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Good Shepherd Church.

The group will gather at 9 a.m. at the Middle Street parking lot in Farmington to car pool.

Those going should bring a brown bag lunch. After the meeting and lunch, a tour of some of the old cemeteries in the area will be conducted by Shirley Adams.

Should the weather not be suitable for the tour, the group will visit the Rangeley Historical Society. For more information, call 645-2257 or 778-6656.

Women to meet

WILTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will meet from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, with Rep. Tom Saviello at the Boiler Room.

There will be a lunch for $1, and guest speaker will be Judith Warren on “When Having it all is Not Enough.”
