BRUNSWICK – Poets Gregory Pardlo and Gabriel Welsch will give a public reading of their poetry at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Bowdoin College. Admission is free.
Pardlo’s poems, reviews and translations have appeared in Calalloo, Lyric, Painted Bride Quarterly, Ploughshares, Seneca Review, Volt, and Black Issues Book Review and on National Public Radio. He is an assistant professor of English at Medgar Evers College-the City University of New York.
Welsch’s poems, stories, essays and reviews have appeared in more than 50 different magazines and journals, including Harvard Review, New Letters, Spoon River Poetry Review, Crab Orchard Review and Georgia Review. He is assistant vice president of marketing at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa.
Readings will be in the Donald B. MacMillan House, 5 McKeen St.
