NEW GLOUCESTER – The wedding of Amy Marie Turgeon and Erick Stephen Ashton was held at 11 a.m. on May 26 at Eastgate Christian Fellowship. Pastor Glenn Anderson officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Ashton is the daughter of Deborah and Glen Hunt of New Gloucester and the late Paul Turgeon. Mr. Ashton is the son of Charles and Nancy Ashton of Sabattus.
The bride, given in marriage by her two brothers, David and Jon Turgeon, wore a diamond white gown accented with Swarovski crystals and she carried a bouquet of white and purple lilacs.
Julia Bernard, friend, was maid of honor. Michelle Breton, sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tanya Turgeon, cousin of the bride, and Haley Veilleux, friend of the bride. Katelyn Breton, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Adam Wright, friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Scott Ashton, brother of the bridegroom, and Nate Maillet and Aaron Anderson, friends of the bridegroom. Alex and Elijah Breton, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers.
A reception followed at Eastgate Christian Fellowship gymnasium, after which the couple traveled to St. Lucia. They are residing in Lewiston.
The bride is a graduate of Eastgate Christian Academy and is employed as a kitchen designer at Hammond Lumber Co.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Oak Hill High School and received an associate degree in parts and service management from Central Maine Technical College. He is a designer at Bath Iron Works.
