Maine Seniors

PORTLAND – The Maine Seniors Golf Association reaches a milesone this month when members gather at the spot where it all began in 1932.

The Association celebrates its 75th anniversary on Sept. 24 with a tournament and banquet at Brunswick Golf Club.

It was Charles “Pop” Erswell who helped organize competition among seniors. The Association has continued through an economic depression, a World War, man setting foot on the moon, and golf balls being hit well over 300-yards.

James Dodson will be the banquet speaker.
