AUBURN – Mechanics Savings Bank has announced its 2007 scholarship recipient from Lisbon High School.

Amber Christine Hardison is the daughter of Clifford and Susan Hardison of Lisbon. Hardison was a member of the Lisbon High School junior varsity soccer team and the LSAL softball team. She also served as an office aid at Lisbon High School.

An active community member, Hardison was a certified junior volunteer at the Lisbon Community School and participated in DARE’s Family Fun Day and Lisbon High School’s School Spirit fashion show fundraiser.

She has taken dance lessons for 10 years and has done commercial acting and modeling. In addition to receiving the Mechanics Savings Bank scholarship, Hardison was awarded the Lisbon Education Association’s 2007 scholarship. Hardison plans to attend the University of Southern Maine this fall.

For more than 20 years, Mechanics Savings Bank has provided scholarships to assist high school graduates with their higher education tuitions and fees. This year, the bank’s scholarship donations to local and area high schools totaled $19,500.
