AUBURN – Sherry G. Carey, 57, of Surry Lane, Lewiston, died Monday, Sept. 3, at the Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Eagle Lake on July 28, 1950, the daughter of Philip L. and Regina (Saucier) Carey. She was known and loved by many through her years of service to the Lewiston-Auburn community in the hairdressing profession. The lives she touched with her unique blend of humor and compassion will forever live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She loved art, reading, music, animals and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Regina Carey of Lewiston; one sister, Paula Boutin, and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston; one brother, David Carey of New Hampshire; five nieces, Celeste Rines, Michelle Adams, Nicole Fournier, all of Turner, Michelle Carey and Angela Desue, both of Florida.

She was predeceased by her father, Philip L. Carey; and one brother, Dwight L. Carey.
