PORT ORCHARD, Wash. – Jeanette Martin Perkins passed away peacefully at Life Care Center on Aug. 30, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born March 14, 1930, to Carroll and Jennie (Little) Martin in Harrison, where she grew up and graduated from local schools. She married Thomas M. Perkins in 1951, and they lived in various parts of the country while he served in the U.S. Navy, finally settling in Port Orchard in 1975, upon his retirement.

She was an accomplished seamstress and gardener, enjoyed golf and bowling, and was very fond of flowers.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas of Port Orchard, Wash.; daughters, Rebecca O’Donnell of Folsom, Calif., and Marjory Bryce of Deering, N.H.; grandchildren, Jennifer O’Donnell and Brian O’Donnell, both of Folsom, Calif.; sisters, Helen Trumble of Sanford and Verna Smith of Hudson, N.H.; and a brother, Edward Martin of Harrison.

The family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Pointe Memory Care Center and the Life Care Center, both of Port Orchard for their compassion, care and support during our time of need.
