DOVER, N.H. (AP) – A 34-year-old Maine man faces charges he tried to ram New Hampshire state police cruisers in a wild chase off an interstate bridge, through Portsmouth and onto the Spaulding Turnpike.

Police first approached a man – later identified as Kenneth Jones of Berwick – after a caller said someone was parked on the Piscataqua River bridge in Portsmouth and might be attempting to jump.

State troopers went to the bridge and saw a man get into a minivan and drive slowly south on Interstate 95 in the breakdown lane. He then led police on a chase before he spun out of control and was subdued by a Taser.

Jones is charged with felony reckless conduct, resisting arrest and operating after suspension.
