LEWISTON – Northeast Bank is sponsoring two financial workshops through Lewiston Adult Education.
Hosting the first workshop, Steps to Accumulating Wealth – So You Can Finish Rich, will be Leslie Couper, a certified financial planner, and Debora Hillier, a certified insurance counselor.
The program will demonstrate how taxes and insurance fit into a financial plan, with tips on how to budget and monitor spending, and accumulate wealth. The session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Lewiston High School.
In the second workshop, Financial Planning: A Must for Everyone, Jim Delamater will explain the importance of developing a financial plan and steps to choosing an advisor, as well as pitfalls to avoid while making these important financial decisions. Joining Delamater will be Kevin Carbin, a certified financial planner, who will walk through the planning process with tips on setting goals, designing strategies and monitoring results. This workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Lewiston High School.
A registration fee of $12 per session will go to supporting Lewiston Adult Education.
Participants in either session will receive a personal copy of Jim Delamater’s book, “The Great American Mismatch.”
