WILTON – A late-night, single-vehicle accident Tuesday on Temple Road left two men injured, with one later flown to a Lewiston hospital.

Seth Harris, age unknown, of Wilton was driving a black 1994 Jeep Cherokee north on Temple Road at 10:29 p.m. when he lost control on a turn. The vehicle went into a ditch on the northbound side of the road, crested a hill, crossed the centerline and went into a ditch on the southbound side of the road, according to investigating officer Richard Caton’s report.

This caused the vehicle to roll over and strike several trees before coming to rest on an embankment.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was found approximately 10 feet north of the vehicle.

David Brown, 19, of Wilton a passenger with Harris, was partially ejected and was found hanging by his foot outside the passenger door of the vehicle, Caton said.

Both were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital, from where Brown was flown to Central Maine Medical Center.

Harris was also later taken to Central Maine Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday night. Brown was listed in fair condition at the hospital, according to a nursing supervisor.

Neither Harris nor Brown was wearing a seat belt, Caton said.
