AVON – The 10th annual Savage family reunion was held on Aug. 19 at the Avon Town Hall, Lindberg Airport. More than 50 family members and guests were in attendance. Grace was given by Thomas Savage, followed by a potluck luncheon. Hamburgers and hot dogs were provided.
After the meal Roger Lambert, a Maine Master Guide, led a class on moose hunting. Afterward the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read.
Gifts were presented to the eldest member, Richard Hammond, son of Hugh and Agnes Savage Hammond; furthest traveled, Pat Martin of Lincoln; and youngest, Karalyn Daggett, daughter of Wilfred and Collette Daggett Jr.
Election of officers was held as follows: Richard Savage, president, Adrah Taylor, vice president; Veronica Rodrigue, secretary; and Virginia White, treasurer. An auction was held with Thomas Savage as auctioneer with assistance from Jan White and Eloise Stevens.
