AUBURN – Robin Dow Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St.

The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. There will be the usual raffle table, and all donated items for the table will be appreciated. Tickets will be on sale for the Halloween luncheon Oct. 24 for $4, the Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 14 for $7 and the Christmas dinner on Dec. 12 for $8. Bingo will be played after a bag lunch.

Virginia Houston, vice president, presided in the absence of the president at the Aug. 22 meeting. Birdena Whittle, a member of long standing, was presented a floral arrangement from Robin Dow Seniors, along with an orchid corsage made and presented by Eleanor Jewell on the occasion of Birdena’s 102nd birthday. Birthday decorated cupcakes were served for dessert at lunch.

Trip Chairwoman Evelyn Sawin announced she is conducting a fall foliage trip to Rockport on Thursday, Oct. 4, for $48, which covers transportation, bingo and a buffet luncheon at the Landing. Special welcome was given to Lucien Marcoux, returning from an illness, and Dorothy Weko as a new member. Attendance prize winners were Hope Telow and Marion Gayton; pot of gold, Shirley Huntley, Marge Gardner and Guy Donohue.

At the close of the meeting and following lunch, members played higher stake bingo with funds donated by Birdena’s son, Leigh, as part of celebrating Birdena’s 102nd birthday.
